Cable duct assembly

Country
Germany
Range

After the sawing process, the profiles are accepted on a run-in line, and a storage unit is used for the decoupling of the assembly line from the extrusion line. This is followed by the setting of clamps and clutches, then the finished profile is packed and palletised on transport frames.

Challenges
The extrusion speed is max. 15 m/min, i.e. the system with its components must be set to max. 30 m/min output in the double strand. Particular emphasis was placed on improvements in process safety and operability and adaptability.

Technical solution
To store the profiles before the assembly processes, a storage device consisting of several routes, which can be fed through an elevator, is used. Anyfeeder and robots with appropriate camera technology put the clamps and clutches. Packing of the profiles and labelling are carried out at a manual workplace, and palletising is carried out using a standard handling device.
